If sports and fitness exercises are your way of destressing after a long hard day of work, the Sony WF-SP800N headphones are the perfect choice for you! While using these earbuds I as a sports fanatic was impressed by their excellent built and completely sports-oriented design.
These earbuds had the benefit of having a wireless, in-ear design with an adjustable noise-canceling system, giving the slight comfort of silence that I crave from time to time. Not only that, here’s the best part: they’re completely waterproof! Yup, you heard me, now you can enjoy listening to your favorite songs as you complete your morning jog even in light rainy weather.
And if you like me prefer to set the base and volume of your earbuds according to the type of song you’re jamming to, all you have to do is customize the sound earbud’s sound profile by opening the Sony| headphones connect app on your phone. Now isn’t that easy!
In terms of designs let’s look at what these earbuds have to offer
Style
Sony WF-SP800N earphones have a flat oval design with silicon tips although like WF-1000XM3 Truly Wireless they’re slightly on the big side and tend to protrude out of the ears. They come in Orange, Blue, Black, and White color and have a one color design apart from the small sony logo on the outside of the earbuds.
Comfort
While their deep in-ear fit may not be to everyone’s cup of tea, the pressure they exert on the inner ear is very less making them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Although due to their large size you are aware you are wearing them at all times.
Controls
WF-SP800N are not OS specific and their ease of usage is good. Listening to music and call making is an easy affair with these headphones. With on and off noise-canceling controls you can limit the amount of sound that reaches your ears. Its on and off talk-through feature allows you to know what’s going on around you without you taking off the earbuds. Need some additional help? A voice assistant is always there to assist you!
Breathability
These earbuds are very breathable; they do not cover the ear completely so they don’t trap excess heat against them. If you wear them while doing sports you do not sweat more than the usual amount.
Portability
WF-SP800N are outstandingly portable. Putting them in your pocket or in your bag is no hassle at all. Although their cover is larger in design it won’t fit pant pockets.
Sound Quality and Sound Isolation
The overall sound profile of these earbuds is bass meaning the bass is overemphasized across this range. This type of sound quality is for people who like to listen to songs with a little more thump and kick like that of hip hop music. Noise isolation in Sony WF-SP800N is mediocre although it can block out ambient chatter which is mid-range sound. Its ANC doesn’t give much of an advantage to the user it does, however, block out a bit of high pitched sound in addition to blocking out the sound of rumbling buses are plane engines.

WF-SP800N delivers everything you could ask for, they are:

- It doesn’t do wireless charging which is one of its few drawbacks ( This isn’t a major deal breaker for many people)
How long will they work perfectly?
This is not an indicator of the earbud’s overall lifespan; the WF-SP800N comes with a one-year warranty, as most Sony products do with an IP55 rating there’s very little chance that they won’t survive. They can survive many years of usage if you keep them safe.
Should you buy them?
These earphones easily remain one of the top noise-canceling headphones, they provide an exceptional combination of the best comfort, sound, performance, and additional features. Although we would have to see what top competitors have in store for us over the next six months. If I was going to buy noise-canceling for a cheap price today, these earphones would be at the top of my list. They are the best workout companion!
